Pick-Up
Dismissal is at 2:45. We will remain outside with your child as a courtesy until 2:55. At that time students will be escorted to Extended Care and you will be charged accordingly. Please try to pick up your child as close to 2:45 as possible. Kindergarten is usually on the field by 2:40 for you early birds. We ask that once you have picked up your student you exit the field as the gates will be closed and locked at 2:55 in preparation for Extended Care. On half days dismissal is at noon. Thank you!

Uniform Tips
- Try double or triple knotting your child's shoes to keep them tied.
- Girls may wear PE shorts or navy bike shorts under jumpers
- Check the button on the collar of the oxford shirt. They are often sewn in the wrong place and need to be moved over for the comfort of the student. You want to be able to fit a finger or 2 inside the collar when it is buttoned or it often feels restrictive on the students neck. You could also try button extenders.
Just in case it rains...no umbrellas please.
Also the school will usually notify you via text or email if we have to change to dismissal inside our classrooms due to inclement weather (instead of on the field). If you do not see us outside once the bell rings on a rainy day, we will be in our classroom and you can pick up you KA Scholar there.

Touching Safety Program: Return form by Aug. 31
I would ask that you inform yourselves about the curriculum we use for this program before you make your decision regarding your child's participation. I have provided a link for you when you click on the title. I request your careful consideration of this matter. Decide if it is appropriate for your particular child to learn in a school setting or if you would rather address this with your child on an individual basis in the manner you feel is appropriate. This program is required to be taught by the Diocese, but your child is not required to participate. You may feel this subject matter is more appropriately taught at home. I do have additional resources if you are interested in more information. Thank you for your careful attention to this matter.

On the first day of school:
- You are welcome to escort your child into the school building, but please say goodbye at the classroom door. No parents will be permitted in the classroom. This makes the transition easier for your child.
- Each child should carry a backpack to transport items to and from school. The backpack should be large enough to carry a folder but small enough to fit in our cubbies. The backpack should be brought to school everyday.
- ***NO ROLLING BACKPACKS***
- We will have a snack each day during our morning recess. Pack a healthy snack for you child in his/her backpack (not lunchbox). Make sure your child knows where it is located and provide something easy to open. You may also provide a small water bottle if you would like. No juice, yogurt, applesauce, fruit cups or anything else that might be messy.
- We will have a great day!
